Monyca W. Peyton was appointed Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Management in September 2022. Ms. Peyton is part of the management team responsible for directing the areas of administrative management (including human resources), financial management, and facilities management.
Ms. Peyton began her Federal career in 1993 as a Labor Relations Specialist with the Office of Personnel Management. Her more than 29 years of Federal Government service includes extensive policy and operational HR experience with advising senior management on human resource strategies and solutions. Prior to serving in her former role as OPM OIG’s Chief Administrative Officer, she served as OPM’s expert in the areas of employee/labor relations and performance management. Monyca also served in HR leadership positions at the Transportation Security Administration and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Ms. Peyton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from North Carolina Central University.
